Dean Tires is a quintessential American brand with a rich history dating back to 1923, the same year when Walt Disney embarked on his cartoon studio venture, and Yankee Stadium hosted its inaugural baseball game. The story of Dean Tire Service began in Louisville, Kentucky, where David Dean founded a company dedicated to supplying tires for wholesale and retail purposes across the Midwest. Through the years, the reins of Dean Tires passed from David Senior to his son, David. In the 1960s, the company experienced growth by establishing Dean Tire and Rubber Co., a private label tire line. By the mid-1990s, the company's annual sales had soared to over $60 million, with 2 million units of Dean-brand radial passenger, light truck, and medium truck tires being sold in ten countries. In January 1999, after selling his company to Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, Mr. Dean retired.
