The ContiProContact SSR is a run-flat tire that Continental has designed for all-season use. It also includes wide circumferential grooves to resist hydroplaning and provide good wet traction. The tire's internal structure consists of twin steel belts and reinforced self-supporting sidewalls for stability and uniformity at high speeds. While not officially labeled as run-flat tires, tires with the MOExtended or MOE branding on their sidewalls offer similar temporary extended mobility after a puncture. However, they do not have the same endurance as conventional run-flat tires, so they should not be used in situations where a conventional run-flat tire is required.
