It is important to note that this tire is not suitable for use in freezing temperatures, snow, or ice. Continental has utilized their extensive experience in competition and racing to develop the endurance-focused tread compound of the ExtremeContact Force. This compound provides predictable handling and grip throughout the tire's lifespan. The tire features a solid center rib for quick steering response and consistent traction, as well as wide outboard shoulders to maximize lateral grip and steering precision during corners. Additionally, the tire includes tread depth pins to help drivers monitor performance and remaining tread life. The circumferential grooves and lateral notches help with hydroplaning resistance and water evacuation. Internally, the ExtremeContact Force tire has a strong construction with a two-ply polyester casing for precise handling. It also has twin steel belts and a single polyamide cap ply, which contribute to durability, high-speed capability, and increased control during high-performance driving. Please note that if the temperature drops below 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C), the tire must be gradually returned to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for a minimum of 24 hours before any adjustments or use. Cold-weather use can cause irreversible cracking in the tire's specialized rubber compounds. While compound cracking is not covered under warranty as it is due to improper use or storage, tires exhibiting this cracking should be replaced.
