Continental EXTREMECONTACT FORCE

The ExtremeContact Force is a high-performance summer tire designed by Continental for sports cars, performance sedans, and enthusiasts who engage in intense driving activities such as track days and endurance races. It offers exceptional traction and consistent performance on the track, but also performs well on regular roads and maintains good durability for everyday use. However, it should not be used or stored in freezing temperatures, snow, or icy conditions. Continental's engineering and design teams have utilized their extensive experience in competition and racing to develop a specialized tread compound for the ExtremeContact Force. This compound ensures predictable handling and grip throughout the tire's lifespan. The tire features a solid center rib for quick steering response and consistent longitudinal traction. The wide, low void, outboard shoulders maximize contact with the road, providing excellent lateral grip and precise steering during cornering. The tread depth pins molded into the shoulder elements help drivers monitor tire performance, wear, and remaining tread life in high-performance driving environments. Additionally, the twin circumferential grooves and high-angle lateral notches help prevent hydroplaning and improve water evacuation from the tire's shoulders. The internal construction of the ExtremeContact Force includes a strong two-ply polyester casing that contributes to precise handling. The tire also has twin steel belts for durability and high-speed capabilities, along with a single polyamide cap ply that enhances control over the tire's contact with the road during intense driving maneuvers. It is important to note that the ExtremeContact Force should not be subjected to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower without gradually returning to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours. This precaution is necessary to prevent damage to the tire's specialized rubber compounds, as extremely cold temperatures can cause irreversible cracking. While compound cracking is not covered under warranty, any tires exhibiting this condition must be replaced.
