The Ultrac Vorti+ is Vredestein's Max Performance Summer tire designed for drivers of sporty coupes, highly-tuned sedans, sports cars, and powerful luxury vehicles who want confident braking and high speed traction combined with precise and responsive steering in dry and wet conditions. The Ultrac Vorti+ excels in the warm, dry and wet, so like all Max Performance Summer tires, it is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice. A high-traction tread compound delivers enhanced dry and wet braking and lateral grip and is molded into the asymmetric pattern of the Ultrac Vorti+. The stable center rib improves steering response and precision, while the rigid, low-void outboard shoulder enhances handling. On the inboard side: additional siping and grooves alongside the shoulder aid in wet traction and handling. The wide, circumferential grooves flow water straight through the contact patch to fight hydroplaning and maintain performance. Internal construction of the Ultrac Vorti+ features a two-ply, rayon casing for strength and durability. Twin wide, steel belts join the two nylon reinforcement plies for dependable performance at the highest echelons of speed. The Ultrac Vorti+ continues its commitment to ideal fitment with dedicated all-wheel and rear-axle variations, with the all-wheel version designed for precise steering using a lower belt angle compared to the wider belt angle on the rear-axle design. Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels, or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle. Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. While compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.
