The Ultrac Vorti+ is a Max Performance Summer tire that is specifically designed for drivers of high-performance vehicles who value excellent braking capabilities, high-speed traction, and precise steering in both dry and wet conditions. It is not intended for use in freezing temperatures, snowy or icy conditions. This tire features a tread compound that provides exceptional grip on both dry and wet surfaces. The unique asymmetric pattern of the Ultrac Vorti+ includes a stable center rib for improved steering response and precision, as well as a rigid, low-void outboard shoulder for enhanced handling. On the inboard side, additional siping and grooves alongside the shoulder contribute to better wet traction and handling. Moreover, its wide circumferential grooves effectively channel water through the contact patch, minimizing the risk of hydroplaning. In terms of construction, the Ultrac Vorti+ boasts a two-ply, rayon casing that ensures strength and durability. Twin wide, steel belts are combined with two nylon reinforcement plies to deliver reliable performance, even at high speeds. Notably, this tire is available in all-wheel and rear-axle variations, with the all-wheel version designed for precise steering using a lower belt angle compared to the wider belt angle on the rear-axle design. It is important to note that if the temperature falls below 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C), the tires must be gradually brought back to a minimum temperature of 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before any adjustments, such as inflation pressure changes or mounting on wheels, are made. Failure to do so can result in irreversible cracking of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires. While compound cracking is not covered by warranty as it is a result of improper use or storage, tires showing signs of compound cracking should be replaced.
